Before becoming a writer, Scarlet worked the usual jobs: auto detailer, monorail driver, instructor at a school with a cadaver lab. Somewhere between nuclear medicine and spa employee, her first article was published in the Kiai Echo magazine for the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation. Her employer was especially thrilled.

Shadows is her first novel. When Scarlet isn’t writing, she can be found consuming vast amounts of coffee and chastising the squirrels who love nothing more than interrupting her creative flow to beg for nuts.
